School for Advanced Learners, Grades K-4
SciCore Academy is proud to be the home of a unique educational oppotunity, the School for Advanced Learners, grades K through 4. This day school program is designed for children of exceptional ability and talents. Students participate in an advanced curriculum in language arts, geography and world civilizations, fine arts, mathematics, and natural sciences. They are in a small class setting with other bright students and are able to soar academically, without bounds.
We feel that bright children need a place to grow intellectually, where they are not hindered in their development. As future creators and leaders, such children are a special gift to society and need to be nurtured and challenged.
This program is not for everyone. Students must be above grade level in achievement to be admitted. Applicants must take and pass an entrance examination and be able to read and comprehend well above traditional grade level expectations.
Classes run the full day, from 8:25 am to 2:50 pm Monday-Thursday and 8:25 am - 1:55 pm on Fridays, from September to June. Teachers are trained in techniques which maximize individual attention whereby students advance at a rate matching their interests and abilities. The cost of tuition for the academic year is $ 7800 for one child, $13,000 for two children, and $16,800 for three children. Transportation and after-care are available at extra charge.
